A Science Fiction & Fantasy Convention
    Celebrated October 4th, 5th and 6th
At the Gateway Convention Center and Double Tree Hotel in Collinsville Illinois.
    A Celebration of the Imagination
My name is Michael Hatley and I am the charity coordinator for Archon 37, an internationally known science fiction and fantasy convention. This year, Archon is celebrating its 37th anniversary at the Gateway Convention Center and the Double Tree Hotel in Collinsville, Illinois. The Archon convention is a locally organized and locally staffed event, presented each year by St.Louis’s area science fiction and fantasy fans, internationally known media guests, writers, artists, merchandise dealers and performers it’s goal is to bring fandom everywhere a celebration of the imagination.
Archon has again chosen the Challenger Learning Center-St. Louis to be the recipient of the charity proceeds raised during the various fund-raising events held throughout the weekend.
The award-winning Challenger Learning Center-St. Louis provides space education programs for schools, corporations, Scouts, community groups and the public. At the core of the Center is state-of-the-art space simulators, which include an orbiting space station and a Mission Control center modeled after NASA’s Johnson Space Center. The program is part of the Challenger Center for Space Science Education, an international not-for-profit educational organization founded in April 1986 by the families of the astronauts tragically lost during the Challenger Space Shuttle mission. The St. Louis location is part of a growing Network of approximately 50 Challenger Learning Centers located throughout the world and serves groups throughout the greater St. Louis area.
As a long time supporter of Archon’s charities and its auction or if you are a first time donator we hope you will be able to help us again this year by donation items to the auction, we and the Challenger Learning Center Saint Louis would appreciate your support. Last year’s action raised over $4000 for the Challenger Learning Center St. Louis and over the past 14 years, your donations helped us raise over $25,000 for the Archon chosen charities. For your support, your company will receive recognition throughout the convention weekend, during the auction itself, and on the Archon 37 website, a representative from your company could auction the items if you like. The auction will be Saturday afternoon. Donations should be mailed to Archon P.O. Box 4191, Ballwin, Mo. 63022-4191.
Please have your donations, if you are not attending this year at the convention PO Box prior to October 1, 2013 so they can be pickup by the chairperson and brought to the convention. If needed, I will arrange for the items to be picked up from you prior to that date. In addition, items can be brought to the Archon Convention Headquarters inside of the Gateway Convention center, by 2 p.m. on Friday October 3, 2013 so they may be included in the live auction event.
If you have any further questions, feel free to contact me by calling: 618-286-3938 or 314-323-9381 or via email at:Charity@archonstl.org. Thank you for your time and support. I look forward to receiving your donations and working with your items to achieve the greatest return of you investment.

    Yours Truly,
    Robert Michael Hatley
